Lightning striking the buildings near the Statue of Liberty and nearby in the New York Harbor

Longer version

The same storm caused this possible tornado (or wall of rain). two other tornadoes were confirmed.

Tornadoes and bizarre weather have been occurring for several years. This was filmed in 2008.
